(About)

Yosra Abbady

is a Rotterdam based visual artist and recent graduate of the Willem de Kooning academy. Her work deals with the search for ways of collective storytelling and the excavating of cultural archetypes to investigate our present day reality. In her paintings, she explores themes such as queerness, disability, the immigrants journey and the intersectionality of all the above and more. In bridging the gap between the classical and the Camp, her approach is one of humor and subtlety, always aiming to center the essence and agency of the subjects.
